Friday Oct 9 afternoon we headed out to Chicago to meet the Ps. We stayed at an Embassy Suites in Schaumburg, IL. Friday night we enjoyed some pool time. Kathryn was very hesitant about it all until I figured out on Saturday night that she really wanted her yellow floater and not the Nemo blow-up ring for the pool. Very cautious! Eleanor didn't get a chance to swim either evening as she was already alseep. On Saturday we took the train into downtown Chicago and walked around the city. A "weekend" pass (Sat/Sun) for the Metra is only $5!!!! We met Erin for lunch at Potbelly. Then we went back to the hotel for the reception and Kathryn pooltime. Sunday morning we headed downtown to watch the marathon. It was also Erin's birthday. We were able to see her run twice. She ran her first marathon in 4:06. After the marathon we headed to Madison and saw Grandma Nell (Tom's mom) and Donna and John (Tom's sister and her husband.) A very fun busy weekend!!!
