Her actual birthday isn't until January but this past Tuesday we celebrated friends birthday. We did this last year and it was even more fun this time. All the birthday girls bring a gift to exchange so everyone goes home with something fun. Kathryn's gift to give was play-dough with some fancy accessories and she received her very first My Little Pony! She loves it and has been combing it's hair non-stop. It's just so perfect- they have their friends party and we don't go crazy having to go to 5 other parties and buying gifts- the girls have a blast. Kathryn was so excited for her party! Eleanor loved eating pizza and crawling around- next year she'll be busy playing the games, too.
Big differences from last year include- loving and insisting the party had stay on her head, no tears during the singing of Happy Birthday and staying close to me/telling me where she'd be playing vs. running around like crazy toddlers.
Same- being so scared by that horrid RAT. A worker came and asked if the RAT could come say hello and Kathryn heard that and was so worried about it while eating her pizza- I told her if the RAT comes we'd go take a walk- he did come and we did take a walk. I thought after how much she enjoyed Sesame Street Live that maybe the character fear was subsiding but nope, not yet. Overall a great time! Happy 3rd Birthday (a little early) Kathryn!
