Last Sunday Tommy turned thirty!!! He loves road trips so we decided on a day trip drive- we went to Cabelas in Owatonna and then Perkins in Northfield for lunch. And drove around a lot. Kathryn liked Cabelas and seeing all the animals and fish. And somehow I scored a fleece jacket for $14.
Eleanor gave him socks- because they're still getting to now each other and wasn't really sure what he'd like, Kathryn gave him a Twins hat and a soft bat and ball, both girls gave him the soundtrack to Annie- I'm not sure teh blog world needs to know that Tommy actually might have asked for said soundtrack- it's very sweet - he's excited to take his daughters to see Annie someday! Carter gave Tommy Esteban's beginner guitar DVD. And I gave him beer brewing permission- kind of like a gift certificate! We had a lovely day together!!! Happy Birthday!!
It was also Eleanor's six weeks from birth day. I think she's getting really close to smiling!!! Her cradle cap is all cleared up- but she still get daily (and sometimes twice daily) baths. We have to keep her hands mitted becuase she likes to gnaw at her face. I think it's neat that Eleanor and Tommy are exactly 6 weeks apart.
The Friday before (Feb 6) we went to Tom and Chrissy's for dinner. Kathryn liked playing Rock Band with the boys. Eleanor prefered to sleep rather then socialize.
On Saturday (Feb 7) we went to the History Museum so Kathryn could run around in the grain belt.
For dinner Tommy and Joe took their girls to Tejas. They had a nice time and good food!
