TWO WEEKS!!!!

Eleanor is 2 weeks old today. She's such a doll- she seriously never (ok, rarely) cries. She's just so content all the time. Eleanor's been up more which is fun to stare into her eyes and watch her react to the sounds of Kathryn and Carter. Right now she's sitting in her papasan chair on the table while I type.
TP, Kathryn and Carter are at the dog park- yup, it's 15 degrees out but only supposed to get colder this week and I think Kathryn could use a little fresh air! I'll admit the quiet is very nice!!! Eleanor when not being held- spends a lot of her time in this chair- she spits up so much that I think the incline helps.

Last Friday (1/2) she had a weigh-in at 7lbs, 5 oz and this past Friday (1/9) she weighed 8lbs, 8oz! Her goal was to be back at birth weight of 7lbs, 13oz. I'm just so proud! She's waking up twice a night to eat- TP and I are tired but not exhausted and I think our bodies are adjusting to the routine. After this coming school week Tommy has the next 34 school days off for his FMLA. It'll be nice to have him home- and different because with Kathryn we took our FMLA separately so this time we'll both be around.

I think Kathryn is adjusting well to all the changes around here (it has to really help that E isn't a crier) She's into babies so an alive one must be super-sweet for her. She's been teething/sick though on and off for a couple of weeks (the Christmas Eve barf-fest could probably be a post in it's own) so she's been "getting away" with more then usual-- pacifier, juice, napping on the couch, even TV-- only Finding Nemo but more then ever before. Oh and we let her snuggle-watch that international dance show. So maybe we're being too nice but she's just so dang cute!!!

Carolyn brought Kathryn a book called Sisters- and the first part of the book is about how the sisters are different and the last part is about how the sisters are similar. So I've been thinking about that lately- their different personalities that they bring to our family and then what kind of similarities and interests they will share. It'll be fun to watch their relationship grow!

So Happy 2 Weeks Baby Eleanor!!!

(Again pictures to come--- I need to recharge the battery before I load them to the computer)
