MLK Day

I hope everyone had a nice day off! We laid low- Kathryn has a cold or maybe a tooth- either way we had a nice long weekend. We hung out with Peter and Laura, spent time at home and stayed warm!

I enjoyed the speeches coming out of South Carolina today- I think MLK would be quite proud- a native SC, a woman and an African American man running for president! I think we're going to watch the debates tonight.

This evening I made this for dinner. HOMEMADE BISCUITS??? I thought biscuits came from the refridgerated section of the grocery store. Now my version wasn't as pretty- it still tasted really good! A fun and tasty comfort food! (Of course I added the BIG 3- garlic, curry powder, and hot shot pepper- someday KPs going to find out that recipes don't actually call for the BIG 3 and I'm not really sure how we'll explain this to her without tears.)

Have a great (short) week!

PS- A clarification- Kathryn says DADA a lot and is ALWAYS looking for her DADA and goes crazy when she see's him. She's also become an expert "waver" when someone enters the room or when we say buh'bye AND she's clap CRAZY- happiness means clapping and everyone needs to clap! Too much fun, I'm glad we steal our cable- you can't pay for this kind of entertainment.

It was so great to talk to you guys last night! I love checking out your meal plans. At times, I just want to copy it. Do you make a master shopping list when you decide on the meal plan? If so, would you just send me the list and the recipes weekly? You just make dinners sound so yummy and fun...
