This Weekend- sponsored by Target

On Friday Playgroup was here. I've never seen Kathryn so excited- she kept going over the "menu" with me- crackers, raisins, muffins (she insisted they were cupcakes), and juice and "tea" (hot apple cider for the moms.) She was excited about the craft project for her friends and showing them her room and toys. I only took a couple of pictures at the very end. Eleanor napped like a champ so she missed most of the fun, but was very surprised to find all these people in her house after she woke up.  I think the kids had fun- I know Kathryn had a blast!

(The art projects turned out so cute!)

In the afternoon Sarah came over. It was very nice to spend some time with her.  Later Peter and Laura dropped off some sandwiches from Panino Brothers (we were going to babysit Andrew, but they decided to take him with- somehow we got sandwiches.) Then we watched Monk.

Saturday was very busy. In the morning we went with the Ps to the new Fridley train station for the opening day of the Northstar Commuter Rail. We did not win tickets in an earlier drawing, but were able to score some during the festivities. Jason's younger sister Margo painted Kathryn's face. Eleanor was able to nap while being held- which was great. The girls liked riding on the train, seeing the conductor and saying "all aboard!" THANKS TARGET!

(I love Eleanor's expression! Help!)

That night we went to the Children's Theater to see Cinderella. The Bs watched Eleanor so it was just a K and Mom and Dad event.  She did great- at first she was a little nervous about it all, but warmed up and loved Cinderella. There were so many cute kids dressed up and ready for a fun night out. It is their holiday show so that got us in the Christmas mood. We had 2x1 tickets. THANKS TARGET!

(Intermission treat-
smart parents bought it before the show so no waiting in line)

Today we went to the Children's Museum for their free day. It's fun to watch Eleanor starting to really enjoy playing there.  In one area there is a long log and Eleanor was crazy about crawling through it fast and laughing.  Kathryn liked playing the drums. THANKS TARGET!
