On Friday Eleanor turned 8 months old!!! She is an expert army crawler and is able to (quickly) get where she wants to get what she wants (usually being something she shouldn't have.) Kathryn knows how to switch out something off limits and give her something appropriate to play with and how to make the switch fast. Eleanor sits a bit unassisted but doesn't seem that interested in staying still. She's been sitting in the sandbox a bit and seems to find that fun (no eating of the sand!) So far she's loved all the food she's been offered. And gets pretty hyper of the food isn't coming fast enough. She's been waking up around 4 or 5 most mornings and I'm ready for that to end soon.
Thursday nights we go to our neighborhood library for family storytime and Eleanor can definitely hold her own with the other kids. She loves it. She's still super happy and smiley. Loves to put everything in her mouth. Is crazy about Kathryn. These girls can laugh so hard. No teeth yet.
Friday night I went to a sushi and Saki party. It was fantabulous!!! Making sushi has been on my list of 30 things to do before I'm 30- so check. The food was awesome and the company hilarious. With 2 little ones I don't get out too much so this was definitely a treat! Check out some more pictures HERE compliments to the lovely hostess with the mostess. I only took one picture! I really like sushi. A lot. Saki maybe not as much. But sushi. YUM.
Then Saturday morning we saw Sesame Street Live-- When Elmo Grows Up. My friend Kristy hooked us up with a final dress rehearsal performance- perfect because before this Kathryn has been terrified of big costume people/ mascots so if we needed to leave we could. Kathryn did awesome and loved it! We prepped her with You-tube videos of Sesame Street Live performances and that she would sit on our laps to see Elmo, Abby-ca-dabby, Grover and the whole gang singing and dancing. Eleanor liked it too- big eyes!! It was very awesome to be able to do this with our cute girls. The show was very fun!!!!
After the show we went to the Ps for brunch, then home for naps. That night Peter and Laura brought over sandwiches from the Panino Brothers. Oh My Word. These sandwiches were fantastic and huge! I guess it's located in a hotel in Apple Valley. We'll definitely get food from there again!
On Sunday we went to the Medford Outlet Mall and then an old train station in Faribult for lunch- I think it was called the Depot? A quick road trip to end the summer. Tommy started workshop week on Monday and now our summer is over. We're looking forward to our new fall routines, classes, and activities.
