~Memorial Day Weekend 2009~

Memorial Day Weekend was very busy!!! On Thursday Darcy arrived so we met her and the Ps at the MOA for dinner. We ate at the Rainforest Cafe.

On Friday Erin graduated from the Mayo with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy!!!! What a fantastic accomplishment!!!! (Picture taken from Facebook without any permission.) 

Also on Friday was Jason and Shelly's rehersal dinner. They had a Wisconsin Fish Fry in Hudson.  We enjoyed the good food and good company! Kathryn enjoyed the ice-cream from Jennifer (Jason's mom.) 

Saturday was the wedding!!! It was on a riverboat cruise on the St. Croix.  It was so fun!!! The weather was perfect! We weren't going to bring Kathryn (I was a bit worried- about some what-ifs-- the big one being we're on a boat for 4 hours- what-if she goes crazy out of contril and we're stuck on a boat?) but at the last minute we cancelled Aunt Erin and brought her along (we knew it would be OK- but I did have Tommy double check with the groom before pictures.)

  Anyway I'm so glad we brought her- she had a great time with the Ps, eating cake, dancing, and OBSESSING over Jennifer (Jason's mom.) She's never done that before- she wanted to be with Jennifer all the time.  In the car ride home she kept saying "Jennifer Friend" while signing friend-- repeatedly!!! 

It was a very special day and I know Tommy was very honored to be apart of their wedding day!! We love these two and wish Montana was closer.  I wish we would've been able to spend more time with them, but weddings are like that and we can't wait to see them again- hopefully soon!!!!!!

On Sunday we went to the Ps for a BBQ to celebrate Erin's graduation!  My favorite part of the day was when I read a magazine, had a glass of wine while sitting on their deck--by myself.  (It should be clarified I like being with other people- but I was very grateful for this opportunity for relaxation.) I did have Eleanor but she happily played with toys.  Everyone was at the park or in the kitchen.  Congratulations ERIN! 

Monday we went to Como Zoo with the Ds.  Kathryn loves the animals and Eleanor loves going along with what we do! I need to get the pictures from my dad. (Camera batteries dead.)  The weather was perfect - not too hot or cold.  We ate lunch there at their cafe outside.  A great start to SUMMER 2009!!!!
