Neighborhood Egg Hunt
Saturday morning after music we walked to the neighborhood school/park for their egg hunt. It was also Earth Day cleanup so there was lots to see and do. There was a muffin and fruit breakfast, crafts, caricatures, egg dying, music, and a bunny-- we of course at Kathryn's request stayed faraway from the bunny! Nice to see so many neighbors out again after the long, long winter!
Get Your Rear in Gear 5K
Sunday morning we headed to Southdale for the 5K. The weather was drizzly and cold, but we were fine thanks to long-underware, blankets and coffee! We walked on Anne's team- "Notch Your Average Cancer Fighters"- this year the kids race was dedicated to her. It was nice to see Karen and Mark and Jean (who just got back from visiting Tom and Karine in Honduras) and the rest of their family. After the race we had brunch at Q-Cumbers. Kathryn enjoyed coloring at the kids table with all the other children. I think next year she'll be able to run in the kids race-- big race--as she calls it. Hereis more about Anne.
It was also Mark and Karen's First Wedding Anniversary!!!
MN Orchestra - Casey at the Bat
Sunday afternoon we went to the family concert at Orchestra Hall. Eleanor slept in her carseat for the first couple of pieces, but then sat attentively through the rest of the concert. Kathryn did great and seemed to enjoy having her own seat, the dancing, loud instruments and clapping. Target will be sponsoring these family concerts again next year.
New bathroom-
This actually happened last weekend but here are some pictures. The big change is the new medicine cabinet/mirror and light fixture.
