On Friday we ventured to the Minnesota Zoo using library passes. We still had to pay for parking and we paid to go on the mono-rail, but still a very cheap outing ($13.) I think we should get season passes- it's a great deal and we live relatively close. For $62 we can get an individual plus one membership and the girls are free until age 3. If we went twice it'd still be cheaper then paying twice ($33 for us and parking.) Then when Kathryn is 3 we'd have to get the family pass for $85 and to just pay for one time would cost $41. OK enough math! Tommy thinks we should just stick to the library passes! But I think that program is ending this year.
Anyway we had a fun day! Kathryn was really excited about everything and seemed to really enjoy spotting the animals. Eleanor mostly slept! But I'm sure she had fun!!!

We have a zoo membership and LOVE it. We went almost every other week last summer (and it's a nice thing to do in winter too!). That way we can just do one trail or so at a time, and we don't feel rushed to see everything all in one day:-)
