Everyone's always asking how Kathryn is adjusting to big-sisterhood- She is doing great and I'm not just saying that as her mom! We try not to make her help with the baby, but she loves helping out- getting spit up cloths, ((thanks to Kathryn's helpfulness we do go through way more dishcloths then any one family should go through!)) finding Eleanor's "pah-pise" (pacifier), making sure she has her "beek" (blanket), helping with bath time, and alway needing to know where baby/sissy/ela-NOR is. Kathryn feeds her baby ela-NORs and wants to wear them in the sling. Before bed Kathryn gives Eleanor a kiss goodnight. I wonder if she really even remembers life before Eleanor??? I know it must help that I watch 2 other little girls and we've been a bit generous with her pah-pise!
I also received some good news on Thursday--- no more anemia! One thing about the Centering Pregnancy group is you really get to know your group and the mid-wife very well!! My anemia was often brought up- how much happier and more energy I could have if my hemoglobin was higher, how dangerous it would be if I lost too much blood during childbirth, etc, etc. So I want to take my slow FE pills daily (or even twice daily) but I want to in the same way I want to floss or sky-dive. So I was delighted to get my 6 week post-partum lab results back with a lovely message from my midwife- I thought it was too funny and sweet of her! I guess it's time to start obsessing about my Vitamin D deficiency!
