Christmas Eve.Christmas Day.Boxing Day

Christmas Eve morning we went to the Como Conservatory to check out the poinsettia show. It's such a great place in the winter! Como wasn't very busy but I guess Christmas Day is one of their busiest days. We went with the Ps and then we had a little lunch at Java Train- a great place for kids because they have toys and a large (relatively clean) play area. In the summer they have a patio and outdoor sandbox/play area.

Then in the afternoon the Ds came over to our house for white chicken chili and to open presents. We were all very spoiled and Kathryn started to actually get what was going on a bit with the opening of presents.

That night Kathryn kept throwing up- so there was no Christmas spirit around here, but I'm sure I saw Santa Claus around 2am. It was the first time something like that had happen- after awhile we had quite the cleanup routine down. Finally around 4am she slept until 10am. I'm not sure if it was a bug or something she ate. I should have suspected something wrong when she didn't eat up her white chicken chili- the kid loves beans.

Christmas Day we went to the Ds for lunch. Travis, Heather and Tom were there as well. Kathryn and I napped-we were very tired. We had a great turkey meal! Then we all sang Christmas carols around the fireplace. OK that didn't happen just checking to see if anyone read that.

My dad had Boxing Day off from work (he actually had the week between Christmas and New Years off- so nice) so he offered to babysit Kathryn while we go to a movie. Tommy and I don't really go to many movie- for a couple of reasons- we have different movie styles, they're expensive, and I have no attention span to sit for 2 hours - esp. at 9 months pregnant. But after all of that we did decide to see Marley and Me. It was so good! Esp since Carter is our own discount dog- we got her on sale after someone else had returned her and she has many similar traits to Marley. So that was our fun holiday!
